The Counseling and Wellness Centre (CWC) of BRAC University organized a series of workshops on Promoting Self-Awareness and Concentration through Yoga and Meditation on 18th November 2024 with 46 participants in three slots at BRAC University.
The workshop's main objective was to explore new ideas of connecting with mind and body for living a peaceful life. Moreover, the participants will get unique opportunities to improve their self-awareness, concentration, confidence, and academic performance. The session started with silent meditation. After that, four types of Pranayama (breathing) were conducted which helped them to expand self-awareness and mindfulness. Later, different yoga postures were conducted to progress their body balance and centration. The session closed with a guided meditation named Creating Calm Place.
The participants expressed their satisfaction with the workshop by mentioning it in the feedback link. Ms. Safina Binte Enayet, Counselor at the Counseling and Wellness Centre (CWC), facilitated the session. Ms. Tahsina Rahman, Joint Director of Student Life at BRAC University, guided the successful event.
