The School of General Education (GenEd), BRAC University celebrated International Women's Day 2023 at the Residential Semester in Savar today in solidarity with the United Nations theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality" and the day’s campaign theme #EmbraceEquity. The purpose of this celebration is to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions women and girls are making to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
The GenEd’s vision is to elevate and advance gender parity in technology and celebrate the women forging innovation.
For International Women's Day and beyond, GenEd’s celebrations focus on to fully #EmbraceEquity. Everyone can challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion. GenEd strongly believes that collective awareness and voices are what drive change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, all can embrace equity. GenEd embraces equity to forge harmony and unity, and to help drive success for all BRAC University students. GenEd has taken part in the #EmbraceEquity campaign to show its support worldwide.
