The School of Law (SoL) of BRAC University organised a two-day certification program on “Industrial relation, Dispute settlement and Human Resource Management” at GDLN Centre on its Mohakhali campus starting 5 October 2018.
The program aimed at educating young professionals involved in law business and industry on industrial disputes between employers and employees and on procedures and specific laws to resolve those.
Bangladesh’s earnings from RMG is expected to grow from almost $31 billion at present to $50 billion in 2021, which indicates a need for skilled and professional lawyers, said Uttam Kumar Das, consultant of International Labour Organization Bangladesh, as a guest.
Senior District Judge and Chairman of First Labour Court, Dhaka Dr Shahjahan and Director of the Divisional Labour Office Dhaka SM Anamul Hoque conducted sessions as resource persons.
SoL Dean Professor K Shamsuddin Mahmood concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
