School of Law, BRAC University, in collaboration with the BRAC University Law Society, organized a workshop titled "Moot Court Competition and Its Fundamentals" for students of the School of Law. The workshop was held on March 27, 2024, at the Lecture Theatre (09C-16T), BRAC University. The principal objective of the workshop was to provide the participants with a unique opportunity to make them acquainted with the strategies of legal research, enlighten them with proper courtroom etiquette and orient them with powerful oral advocacy schemes.
Former mooters of the School of Law, BRAC University as the facilitators of the event, who previously participated and received prestigious recognitions on National and Global stages. The workshop was commenced with the proficient facilitation by Ismail Ahmed Chisty who broadly discussed the topic of “Legal Research and Analytical Skills”. Later on, Ms. Sanjida Haider Suha efficiently covered the discussion on “Formal Legal Writing” and Lastly, Maliha Zami diligently accustomed the participants to the “Oral Advocacy Strategies and Approaches”.
On top of all, the presence and encouragement of Professor K. Shamsuddin Mahmood, and Dean, School of Law and our esteemed faculties of School of Law, BRAC University played a vital role in making the event successful. The respected faculty members highlighted the invaluable prospects of mooting and its benefits.
