The Office of Career Services & Alumni Relations (OCSAR), BRAC University organized a webinar with the HR professionals,“Preparing the Youth for a Transforming Job Market-Season 2” on Monday, 28th February 2022. The session was attended by the current students, alumni, faculty members and staff of BRAC University.
Ms. Ayesha Saeed, Head of Talent Management, Human Resources and Administration, Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd., Ms. H. A. Sweety, Head of HR & Culture, Pathao Ltd. and Mr. Jawaad Bin Hamid, Director, People & Organization, Novo Nordisk Bangladesh were the speakers of the session.
They have shared their thoughts through a panel discussion on the required soft skills employers value the most and the common shortcomings theynotice among the fresh graduates. They have also shared the tips and tricks to perform well in the flagship recruitment programs for Management Trainee (MT) and other significant positions arranged by the renowned organizations.
As the pandemic has already dramatically changed the workplace landscape, speakers have suggested the fresh graduates to learn to cope with the changes in the workplace practices during the pandemic quickly.Teleworking, balancing work and life, dealing with technological challengesand online communication with colleagues and clients are examples of such changes.
The session concluded with a vibrant and interactive Q&A session where students queried about the importance of business competitions, required skills and preparations needed in order to become successful professionals in specific sectors etc.
