Brac University (BracU) observed the historic 7th March on Thursday, 07.03.19 at the Mohakhali campus of Brac University Indoor Games Room of Building 6.
Office of Co-Curricular Activities (OCA) under Office of Student Affairs (OSA) arranged the event in association with Brac University Film Club.
The program started at 11am by playing the National Anthem "Amar Sonar Bangla". Then a documentary video of full speech of the 7th March 1971 of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur rahman was screened.
Registrar Lt Col Md. Foyzul Islam (Retd) was present that time. He said to the students that every single word of this speech is meaningful. That is why, UNESCO recognised the historic speech of 7th March by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as part of the world’s documentary heritage.
He expected that by realizing the magnitude of this speech, students will be highly inspired to portray patriotic attitude towards his own country and countrymen.
Students performed patriotic songs (Karar oi louho kopat, Mago bhabna keno) and recite poetries (Tomake paoar jonno he swadhinota etc) at the event.
Dilara Afroz Khan, Assistant Professor and Director of the OCA moderated the event.
