Brac University Vice Chancellor Professor Vincent Chang has recently chaired a session of a two-day “2nd Assembly on the Futures of Higher Education in Bangladesh” organised by the Centre for Genocide Studies, University of Dhaka, in collaboration with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Bangladesh.
The session titled “Global Education” at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the closing day on 30 March 2019 saw the presentation of three papers.
Shahanaz Parven of the4 People’s Friendship University of Russia presented one paper on “The Impact of Migration on the Higher Education System in Bangladesh” and Rumana Kabir, a German Academic Exchange Service representative of Bangladesh, on “Higher Education in Germany”.
Tamanna Sharmin Kabir and Apala Biswas, both lecturers of East West University, presented another on “Assessing the Situation of Awareness on Global Education: A Comparative Study Attitudes of Undergraduate Level Students of University of Dhaka and East West University”.
