Syed Rashad Imam Tonmoy, a political cartoonist, graphic novelist and associate editor of satire magazine ‘Unmad’ was discouraged by the people around him to choose cartoonist as a profession. Nowadays, those critics have turned into appreciators of his work.
Mr. Imam addressed the students as a chief guest on the occasion of Residential Semester Day-Fall 2019 at Savar residential campus on Saturday, 07 December, 2019.
Sharing his personal struggles, he advised the students to discover their potential and utilize their skills in the area they feel interested. When someone loves his or her work the chances to become successful get high, he added.
The observation of the Residential Semester Day started with an exhibition of handicrafts created by students of Residential Semester (RS). There were 31 stalls at the exhibition displaying different artworks.
Residential Semester Day is observed by BracU every semester to provide students with the unique opportunity to hear the precious and motivating experiences of the guests.
RS Director Rehan Ahmed thanked the chief guest and gave concluding remarks.
