BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH), Brac University (BU), hosted the Master of Public Health (MPH) 15th Batch Graduation Ceremony on 23 January, 2020 at Sasakawa Auditorium, icddrb, Dhaka. The ceremony offered graduation certificates to 29 graduating students from nine countries.
Professor Vincent Chang, President and Vice-Chancellor of BU, was present as the Chief Guest. Dr Mushtaque Chowdhury, Former Dean and Advisor to JPGSPH; and Former Vice-Chairperson, Brac, chaired the ceremony. Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, Founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, was present as the Keynote Speaker and Professor John Clemens, Executive Director, icddrb, was present as the Guest of Honor. Dr. Sabina Faiz Rashid, Dean and Professor of JPGSPH and Associate Vice President, IMPACT, BU presented the opening remark.
Professor Vincent Chang started his speech congratulating the graduating students of JPGSPH. The year 2020 is the first full year of ‘Brac University 2.0’. Hence, he termed this batch as the very first official batch of ‘Brac University 2.0’. The speech presented the concept of ‘Brac University 2.0’, which is an aspiration and a commitment to emerge on the global map as the proud international institution from Bangladesh.
Dr. Malabika Sarker Associate Dean & Professor; Director Research and Director of Centre of Excellence for Science of Implementation and Scale Up (CoE-SISU) presented the closing remark on the occasion.
