Abstract
In this webinar, Aida and Ian McLeod will break the Critical Thinking (CT) field of knowledge and practice, down into a series of bite-sized chunks, each of them supporting a practical pedagogical activity with students. These activities are adaptable and scalable in length, complexity, and difficulty level to suit various student age-groups and learning contexts. The presentation focuses on applying CT to three main fields of History, Geography, and Civic along with Online Reasoning as in testing the authenticity of digital online information resources. The interactive virtual seminar will challenge the participants with a series of thought-experiments and CT exercises that can be applied in their respective fields of teaching.
