BRAC University conducted a day long training session on Campus Safeguarding Framework on 22 March, 2022. As part of its overall Safeguarding Framework, the University has been implementing a robust and comprehensive safeguarding process and policies.
The training session was conducted by Barrister Jenefa Jabbar, Director of Social Compliance and Safeguarding, BRAC. During the training, Abdullah R. Chowdhury, University Proctor, BRAC University and Dave Dowland, Registrar, BRAC University were present along with members of the University.
BRAC University has built internal capacity to ensure a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for students and staff members. The University ensures that it eliminates and prevents all forms of bullying, ragging and harassment. An internal team of Inquiry Officers and a number of committees oversee complaints through a structured system. In particular cyber bullying and sexual harassment issues are addressed in a transparent and timely manner.
