BRAC University and Japan Economic foundation has recently signed an MOU to work on a collaborative research titled “Study on New Strategies for Recovery from the Pandemic and Sustainable Development in Asia: How to Promote Agriculture and SMEs in post-COVID Bangladesh?”. Dr Farzana Munshi, Professor of Economics, BRAC University, will be the principal investigator for Bangladesh. Other Asian countries of this international project, which aims at evidence-based policy making to achieve sustainable and inclusive Asia-wide economic growth, include Thailand, India, The Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia. Dr Yasuyuki Sawada, Professor of Economics, University of Tokyo and former Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank will lead this international project.
