BRAC University as recently signed an MOU with technology service provider Neural Semiconductor recently to jointly conduct research and develop the ecosystem of the semiconductor design industry in Bangladesh.
Neural Semiconductor, a concern of DBL Group, offers a comprehensive and wide assortment of hardware and software solutions, including the full package of system-on-chip (SoC) design services. The company has a design center in Dhaka focusing very large-scale integration (VLSI), which refers to integrated circuit technology with numerous devices on a single chip. Through this industry-academia collaboration, BRAC University hopes to take the lead in inspiring innovation among students through the sharing of information.
Professor Vincent Chang, Vice-Chancellor of BRAC University, and Mohammed Jabbar, Managing Director of Neural Semiconductor, signed MOU. Dr. Arshad M. Chowdhury, Dean of the School of Engineering, Md. Mosadddequr Rahman, Chairperson of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Dr. AKM Abdul Malek Azad, Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Abdulla Hil Kafi, Research Associate, LaSSET, School of Engineering, and Md. Mahmudul Islam, Lecturer of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, were present.
