Brac University is searching the suitable candidates for the position of Senior Inquiry Officer/Inquiry Officer to work with the Sexual Harassment & Bullying Redressal Committee (SHBRC). The candidates must be with experience in conducting an investigation of different programs complying with Brac University policy, sexual harassment complaints investigation guidelines, Internal investigation guidelines and procedures for producing qualitative reports.

Key Responsibilities:
- To study the assigned complaint letter thoroughly and prepare an investigation plan (according to When, Where & How) and develop a checklist, questionnaire to investigate against allegation from respective programs
- To prepare a probable list of interviewee’s like-complainant alleged accused person(s), direct & indirect witnesses and beneficiaries
- To notice to the alleged accused person(s) through registered with acknowledgement due (AD) by post or e-mail before starting an investigation
- To ensure to send show-cause notice/charge sheet to the alleged person
- To prepare letter to the concerned person related to complaint (need basis/as per requirement) and Communicate with respective management staff for getting necessary logistics and program support during field visit
- To take essential instruments like camera, recorder and formats for fact-finding
- To prepare a questionnaire for each interviewee before and during investigation (need basis), visit the place of occurrence
- To rapport building with complain related concern person
- To take interview of the related person with maintaining high confidentiality and keep written record with dates and signature
- To take notes and photos and draw a sketch of place of occurrence
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Science/Law/Criminology from a reputed university
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is preferable
- Experience in Investigation or handling of disciplinary cases will be given preference
- Sound knowledge on overall fact-finding process, national and international laws and policies of redress sexual harassment
- Good verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English, Computer literacy in MS office and internet
- Good interpersonal skill, gender sensitivity, team building capacity, empathetic and able to work under pressure, understand and concern for diversity and inclusiveness
- Excellent presentation skill, Report writing skills both in Bangla and English
