The Counseling and Psychological Services at BRAC University strictly protects the confidentiality of information shared during and after sessions. All personal details and the contents of the counseling sessions are kept confidential. The counselors adhere to the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework which is available on the BACP website.

There are some exceptions to these general rules, where for the wellbeing of the client, sometimes it is very necessary to disclose some relevant information to the client’s responsible person. Counselors will only do this if the client agrees that it would be helpful and the client has given written consent to the counselors.
