Participants: Kids of 9-12 years old and their parents
Organizer: Counseling Unit, BRAC University
Much unlike our own childhood, children of this generation are spending countless hours within the four walls of school and home, with little space to play sports and almost no time to nurture humanistic qualities. Keeping this in mind, the Counseling Unit of BRAC University has come forward with a winter retreat to foster holistic development of a child and to enrich parenting skills through vibrant and exclusive physical, self-reflective and collaborative activities. It also strives to promote positive parent-child relationship and cooperative collaboration towards healthy development.
Exposure & Learning: Children and parents will spend time in the camp engaged in structured activities designed and facilitated by experts. The focus of the activities for children will include physical literacy, emotional awareness, and connectedness with nature and people. Parents will get exclusive sessions on self-awareness and positive parenting besides getting joint sessions with children on relationship, communication and cooperation.
Convenience: To avoid the hassle of finding transport, BRAC university will arrange a bus trip to the camp and a return trip to the city. Each family unit will stay in their own comfortable room with state of the art facilities.
Assurance: The trip will be supervised by a group of professionals and staff members at all times. We will see to it that everyone gets healthy, fresh and nourishing meal on time.
