The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) was established in March 2017. Since then CPJ has conducted a series of training, known as the Basic Training for Paralegals. The Centre is pursuing an agenda to establish paralegalism in Bangladesh.
The Centre has organized three training sessions with three leading legal aid organizations: Bangladesh National Lawyer Association (BNWLA) from 22nd to 27th April 2017 in Rangpur where twenty-three participants attended; Nagorik Uddyog from 14th to 19th May 2017 in Barisal where twenty-three participants attended; and Friendship from 9th to 14th of July 2017 in Gaibandha where twenty- four participants attended the training.
