Sufia Khatun, Research Assistant of BIGD attended a five day long residential “Flagship course on Men, Masculinity and SRHR (sexual health, sexual rights, reproductive health, and reproductive rights)” of Bangladesh institute of Administration and Management (BIAM) from 6-10 March, 2016 at Cox’s Bazar. The objectives of the course were to explore masculinity from different angles such as media and culture - to see how men are represented and its implications; to demonstrate the inclusion of an intersectional approach to men and masculinity and explore the importance of masculinity in the context of gender, sex, sexuality, Feminism and SRHR; to increase the community of practitioners and researchers who work on issues of SRHR and masculinity in Bangladesh.
