BRAC University (BRACU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ernst and Young (EY), an Indian company on June 7, 2015, to run "TOP UP IT Training" on behalf of the ICT Division, Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). The MoU will ensure BRAC University students receive industry oriented training alongside the regular curriculum and also provide certification for the students, both from the government and from an internationally recognized software developer certification program.
The signing ceremony took place at BRACU Vice Chancellor’s conference room. Professor Syed Saad Andaleeb, Vice Chancellor, BRACU, signed the MoU on behalf of the university. Kamal Mansharamani, Director, EY represented EY on behalf of Anurag Malik, Project Head, EY. Md. Rezaul Karim ndc, Project Director, LICT, signed the MoU on behalf of BCC. Professor Dr. Haider Ali, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Muhammad Sahool Afzal, Major General (Retired) Registrar, BRACU were present during the ceremony, alongside other faculty and officials of BRACU, EY and BCC.
