BRAC University Economics Club (BUEC) went on an educational tour at Bandarban, Chittagong on 8th - 11th May, 2007. The objective of this tour was to conduct a study on the possibilities of tourism development in Bandarban. The scenic beauty of Bandarban has remained unexposed to our citizens for decades. This southeastern part of Bangladesh has immense potential to be one of the most beautiful and attractive spots for national and international tourism in the world. This educational tour has endowed BUEC with the stand to recognize the areas of development and build awareness amongst our associates and fellow citizens about Bandarban. Along with work on tourism development, there was also a workshop on "leadership development" undertaken during the tour for the students. Entrepreneurship Development Forum- EDF tour in Natore Entrepreneurship Development Forum had arranged a tour in PRAN Agro Industrial Park, Natore on 18th May 2007. The team members were 24 including the Advisor of EDF Forum, Mohammad Ahsanullah and MR. Anup. The team visited Natore Rajbari, which is more renowned as "Uttara Gonovobon". The trip on the 19th May took the team to PRAN Agro Industrial Park. The Quality Control Manager greeted the team and showed the team around various plant one after the other. They had to opportunity to see the pickle unit, plastic bottle, juice, jam, jelly manufacturing unit, mango sorting process, spice making etc. PRAN has its own mango garden. Another important thing observed was that most of the workers were women. After finishing the factory visit there was a question and answer session arranged with some senior officials of PRAN. The team also visited Bogra and some historical places of "Mahastan Gor".
