Abdulla Hil Kafi, a Research Associate of the School of Engineering at BRAC University, has been recognized by space advocacy body International Astronautical Federation (IAF) as one of the 2022 IAF Emerging Space Leaders.
The IAF selected 30 young people this year from among more than 130 young professionals from over 60 countries with space capabilities. The recognition focuses on young people who are in space careers between the ages of 21 and 35 and enhancing space and related activities in their home countries. This recognition is to actively engage, inspire and support the next generation of students and young professionals in the space field to prepare them to be the future leaders of the international space community.
As a part of this recognition, Kafi traveled to Paris to receive the award and present his research paper at a 73rd International Astronautical Congress with full sponsorship from the IAF. “It was my pleasure to represent Bangladesh and BRAC University at the world’s largest space congress comprising more than 9,300 delegates from 110 countries,” he stated ion a reaction.
