Two BRAC University (BRACU) students, Lazib Sharar Shaiok and Mohsina Taz are among the winners of Huwaei’s "Seeds for The Future 2022, Bangladesh". Huawei announced the names of top nine participants of "Seeds for The Future 2022, Bangladesh" in a gala event held at Hotel Sheraton, Banani, Dhaka on 2 July 2022. A total of 1000 students took part in this year’s program. The winners will go to Thailand for the next round of the international competition to join the other winners of Asian Pacific countries.
The chief guest of the gala event was Mustafa Jabbar, Honourable Minister of Posts and Telecommunications. The special guests were Mr Yue Liwen, Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of China in Bangladesh; Ms Beatrice Kaldun, Head of the Office and UNESCO Representative to Bangladesh and Professor Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor, Islamic University of Technology. Mr Jason Li, board member, Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited, also graced the event with his presence.
On behalf of BRAC University, Dr. Dave Dowland, Registrar and Tahsina Rahman, Joint Director, Student Life attended the event. Dr. Dowland also presented one of the nine awards to the winning students.
