The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) has been implementing the prestigious and impactful "Professional Exchange Program" supported by the US Department of State since 2012. The Professional Fellows Program aims to enrich the capabilities of young professionals, especially entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.
Under the program, Bangladeshi entrepreneurs, business educators, and business professionals visit the USA as part of a five-week exchange and exposure program. Similarly, delegations of American entrepreneurs, educators, and professionals travel to Bangladesh for a two-week visit to gain experience in the ecosystem. A total of 85 professionals have already visited the USA through this program, and they have achieved remarkable success after participating.
During the Fall session in 2023, four successful entrepreneurs joined the program on September 8, 2023, in Oklahoma, USA. They are Ms. Jahnnobi Rahman (Chief Executive Officer, Relaxy Limited), Ms. Nusrat Kabir Prova (Co-Founder and CEO, Chondo), Ms. Monoshita Ayruani (Founder, Shape Industries Ltd), and Mr. Sayem Faruk (CEO, Remotely Technologies Inc). CED organized a Pre-Departure Orientation program for the selected participants on September 5, 2023, at BRAC University.
Mr. Shamim Ehsanul Haque (Assistant Professor, BRAC Business School, and Senior Research Fellow, CED-BRACU) moderated the orientation event, with Dr. Elanie Steyn (Associate Dean and Associate Professor, Gaylord College of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Oklahoma, and Coordinator of the Professional Fellows Program) joining online. Mr. Faroha Suhrawardy (Senior Program Adviser, US Embassy Dhaka) participated in person. Two alumni of the program also attended in person, along with other CED officials. The program concluded with a dinner at a restaurant in Dhaka.
