Professor Ainun Nishat, Advisor and Professor Emeritus, C3ER, BRAC University participated a seminar on “South Asia and China Cooperation Trans-Boundary River Governance and Climate Change” in Haikou, China. The workshop was organized by Hanian Institute for World Watch (HNIWW) and held on 16 December 2016 at HNIWW. Professor Guo Min, Vice President, invited Dr. Nishat on behalf of Hanian Institute for world Watch. Professor Nishat gave a presentation on trans-boundary water governance and shared his experiences with distinguished participants. In the seminar four topics were discussed which are (1) the scenario of trans-boundary river management in South Asia/Southeast Asia; (2) water resources conflict and cooperation in South Asia and China; (3) opportunities and new challenges after COP22 and (4) energy cooperation mechanism construction in South Asia and China.
Hainan Institute for World Watch (HNIWW) based in Haikou City of Hainan Province, the largest Special Economic Zone in China by the South China Sea, is one of the authorities on Strategic Studies in China.
