C3ER organized an Inception Workshop for the project titled “Developing a bankable project proposal on Adaptation Initiative for Climate Vulnerable Offshore Small Island and Char Land in Bangladesh.” The workshop held on 19 December 2016 at BRAC Inn Centre. The project is funded by UNDP in Bangladesh. This assignment will support Government of Bangladesh-UNDP in designing a bankable project (with detail feasibility study) to access global climate funds for addressing climate risks and vulnerability of the community leaving in the small and medium offshore islands and char lands of Bangladesh. Hasan Zubair, Water Resources and Institutional Expert, Md. Zainul Abedin, Participatory Irr. Management Specialist. From C3ER Professor Ainun Nishat, Advisor;Roufa Khanum, Coordinator, Operations;, Dr. Sajidur Rahman, Assistant Professor;, Ibrat Sharif; Nureen Faiza Anisha; , Saw. Mu. Shamoel Haque; Hasnaeen Zakir; Mahjabeen Rahman and Md. Hafizul Hossainwere presented there. Professor Nishat gave a presentation the overall progress of the project followed by a prolific discussion where participants gave their valuable suggestions which will enrich the project outcomes. Dr. Nishat summarized and gave a vote of thanks to the participants.
