Mr Hasnaeen Zakir, Researcher, C3ER attended the final workshop of quantifying projected impacts under 2°C warming (IMPACT2C), jointly organized by Bangladesh Center for Advanced Studies (BCAS) and Institute of Water Modeling (IWM), held at Spectra Convention Centre Dhaka on 19 August 2015, 9:30 AM. IMPACT2C has been working to identify and quantify the impacts and most appropriate response strategies of a 2°C global warming for Europe and three other selected vulnerable regions (Bangladesh, two regions in Africa, and the Maldives) in the world. BCAS is implementing “Work Package - Impact, vulnerability and adaptation in most vulnerable regions: Bangladesh case study” of IMPACT2C in partnership with four other Collaborative Organizations including Institute of Water Modelling (IWM), Dhaka. The objective of the workshop is to identify and prioritize main adaptation options in agriculture, fisheries and water resources sectors of Bangladesh accompanying relevant stakeholders and experts. Dr. A Atiq Rahman, Executive Director, BCAS and Mohammad Monowar Hossain, Executive Director, IWM chaired the Workshop.
