Roufa Khanum, Coordinator; Dr. Sajidur Rahman, Assistant Professor and Ms. Sharmin Nahar Nipa, Lecturer of Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) gave their lectures on “Climate Change in Urban”, ‘’Concepts and Applications of Climate Change Tools and Techniques’’ and ‘’Communication with Communities (CwC)’’ on 23 October 2017. They delivered their lectures under the training tilted “Climate Change Adaptation, Mitigation and Resilience’’ organized by Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB). Dr. Rahman mainly focused on the different GIS tools that can be used to manage the disaster events. Moreover, he also showed several examples of how remote sensing can help to analyze changing nature of a particular area before and aftermath of a disaster. On the other hand, Ms. Nipa showed how CwC ensure the communication, dialogue and information sharing between the disasters affected people and responder. She also pointed out the pillars and different stages of communication strategy which need to be considered in the communication strategy formulation. Around, Twenty one participants from different local and national organizations and university fresh graduates attended the lectures.
