C3ER Team Conducted a 5 Day Long Field Visit at Satkhira District
C3ER team conducted a 5 day long field visit for the project entitled ‘“Capture and assess best CwC practices in disaster response and recovery” funded by DMCC, BRAC and “Achieving Resilience through Inclusive Community Based Organizations” funded by OXFAM from 22-26 February 2017 at Satkhira District as a study area. A team led by Professor Ainun Nishat, Professor Emeritus, and Advisor, C3ER, BRAC University. The team was comprised of total 17 surveyors and 5 C3ER staffs. Key objective of the field visit is to identify and disseminate of effective methods and tools of early warning and recovery interventions in community engagement and assess the outcome of an action research on ‘Resilience through Economic Empowerment, Climate change Adaptation, Leadership and Learning( REECALL). Questionnaire survey, Focus Group Discussion and Key Informant Interviews were conducted during these field visits. Besides that, the team dug up some special case studies.
