Bangladesh is a developing country. With the flow of urbanization, we are forgetting our root and the traditional style. To plan to uncover the lost history and legacy of Bengal and reproduce the missing connection between its urban and provincial society, Architecture Department of BRAC University arranged a public lecture on Architecture for Green Living held on Monday, 28th March, 2016 at BRAC University auditorium. The goal of the programme was to focus on architecture for green living considering the conventional strategies and being green within the concretes. At the seminar Architect Rafiq Azam and Professor Syed Saad Andaleeb, Ph.D, Vice Chancellor, BRAC University was the Key speaker and Chief Guest. Dr. Ainun Nishat, Professor Emeritus and advisor of C3ER, BRAC University was the special guest of the seminar. Dr. Nishat clarified in his speech about the change of climatic example, discussed the 3R model (reduce, re-use, recycle) and recommended to pay consideration on the conventional creating so as to learn the equitable settlement for the neighborhood living which will guarantee green living. Ibrat Sharif, Research Associate and Maliha Tabassum, Intern, C3ER also attended the seminar.
