Dr. Ainun Nishat, Professor Emeritus and Advisor of C3ER, BRAC University attended a workshop titled “Climate Risk and Popular Perceptions” on the 26 July, 2015 at Residence of France Ambassador’s. Dr. Nishat was invited there as a guest of honor. H.E. Mr. Philippe ZELLER, French Ambassador at Large for Climate Negotiations for Asia and Oceania, was the chief guest. Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmed, PKSF Chairman, was the moderator of the workshop. An opening speech was given by H.E. Mrs Sophie AUBERT, Ambassador of France to Bangladesh. The discussed areas were (1) People’s Perception on Climate Change Impacts in Bangladesh: Expectations from Paris Climate Negotiation, (2) World Wide Views on Climate Change and Energy, (3) Friendship: a Success Story to the Scale Up, (4) The Government Response, (5) International Response (6) Challenges and Perspectives.
