On July 12, 2016, one of the students of Department of Pharmacy, BRAC University, Qazi Ashrafur Rahman Abir, was elected Regional Relationship Officer, 2016-2017 of IPSF, APRO (International Pharmaceutical Students Federation, Asia Pacific Regional Office).
The election was organized at the 17th IPSF Asia pacific regional office regional assembly, which was held at the Dongguk University, Ilsan, Korea. This is one of the most prestigious positions in APRO to maintain regional relationship and for the first time a Bangladeshi is representing this position in the international platform.
Qazi Ashrafur Rahman Abir is elected as RRO (Regional Relationship Officer) from nine candidates by the evaluation of his previous initiatives, projects and effectiveness. Apart from these criteria, he was also evaluated based on his future plan of action that he proposed in the election agenda. The whole committee of IPSF, APRO appreciated this decision. The current chairperson of APRO, Mr. Brain Wong and the former RRO Mr. Peter Lin congratulated Abir immediately after election and wished him all the best in his future.
