Mr. Habibur Rahman, a representative of IDCOL visited Genda, Savar on 17th October, 2016 to conduct the performance analysis of three different types of solar assisted electric vehicles developed during the IDCOL funded pilot project. He tested cargo hauler for 3 days, human hauler for 2 days and ambulance van for the next 2 days to evaluate the total mileage it can cover by the use of solar energy only. He completed the field tests on 25th October, 2016 and based on his data collection and findings he has submitted his report to the IDCOL head office.
The purpose of conducting the field test is to evaluate the feasibility of these vehicles and to analyze the sustainability of these vehicles and to decide whether these vehicles are suitable for real-life usages in off-grid rural areas of Bangladesh.
