BU Cultural Club and BU Heritage Forum arranged a Kite Flying Day jointly on November 23, 2004 in the field at BU Residential Campus, Savar. Students at the Savar Campus gathered in the lobby of Shalla and had fun threading the kite, balancing the kite with the thread, learning the names of different parts of kite such as kamani, zippu, dantara, lej, guddi, kanni and finally, learning how to fly a kite. A few students from the main campus helped and participated in the event. The field was filled with students flying colourful kites along with the sound of music and cheerful narration.
