C3ER also arranged knowledge development training on Climate Change, which was designed to give a clear understanding about climate change and its impacts. The two-day long training started from 18 to 19 October 2017 at C3ER. Fourteen participants, mainly from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), University of Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology and Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB) attended this training. The training was conducted by the reputed academicians from C3ER under the supervision of Prof. Ainun Nishat, Professor Emeritus of BRAC University. Moreover, the participants also went to a field trip at Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) offices, Manikganj led by Sharmin Nahar Nipa, Training Coordinator to perceive knowledge about different types of adaptation and mitigation initiatives undertaken by CCDB.
A certificate giving ceremony was arranged at the conference room of C3ER of BRACU and the participants were awarded the certificates of this training by Professor Ansar Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor, BRACU and Professor Ainun Nishat. Mr. Ahmed gave a motivational speech to the participants and encouraged them to use the knowledge of this course as well as the training in their professional working domain and research activities. They also congratulated C3ER team for organizing such effective knowledge development training and inspired the team for carrying out such wonderful initiatives along with research activities.
