The Microbiology program of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at BRAC University recently organized the ‘Freshers' Orientation and Graduate Farewell Ceremony’. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the freshers and the ending of the undergraduate phase for the graduates. This event was not only academically enriching but also a fun-filled celebration, harmoniously blending academia, and joy.
The event began with a message from Dr. Mahbubul Alam Majumdar, the Dean of the School of Data and Sciences. His warm and encouraging words resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of the academic journey awaiting the freshers and celebrating the achievements of those bidding farewell.
The stage was then graced by esteemed faculty members, who inspired the students. Dr. Mahboob Hossain, Akash Ahmed, Dr. Nadia Deen, Dr. Fahim Kabir, and the student advisors Afroza Khan and K.M. Mazharul Alam shared their wisdom and insights. They emphasized the significance of the microbiology field and the values of knowledge and curiosity that should drive the students forward.
Professor Dr. Yusuf Haider, Chairman of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, was also delivered a speech in the ceremony. He highlighted the opportunities awaiting the students on their academic journey. He also distributed crests to the graduating students.
The program featured multimedia presentations, offering the audience a comprehensive look into the Microbiology program, and introducing freshers to the dedicated faculty members who would be their guides in their upcoming academic endeavors.
