Pharmacy
The Department of Pharmacy extended their pool with the inclusion of three new faculty members in their team.
Dr. Raushanara Akter joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy in July 2015. Dr. Raushanara completed her B. Pharm and M. Pharm from Jahangirnagar University. After that she achieved her PhD in Pharmacy from the Griffith University, Australia.
Mr. Ridwan Islam joined as Senior Lecturer in the same department in July 2015. Mr. Islam did both his B. Pharm and M. Pharm from University of Dhaka.
Ms. Sarah Zaheen joined as Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy in July 2015. Ms. Zaheen completed her B.Pharm from East West University. Soon after that she did her M.Sc in Pharmacology from King’s College, London.
Savar Campus
Three new faculty members with the position of Lecturer joined in the Savar campus of BRAC Institute of Languages in July 2015.
Ms. Shaiya Binte Mahbub did her B.A. in English Literature and M.A. in Literature and Cultural Studies from Jahangirnagar University.
Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman completed his B.A. in English, American and Postcolonial Literature and M.A. in Cultural Studies and Literature in English from Jahangirnagar University.
Ms. Syeda Fatima Zamila did her B.A. in General History and M.A. in International History from the University of Dhaka.
Management and Admin
On the administrative side two new members have joined at the BRAC University Savar Campus.
Dr. Sadia Iffat Anam joined as Residential Medical Officer in July 2015. Dr. Anam completed her M.B.B.S from Dhaka Community Medical College Hospital.
Ms. Samsun Naher joined as Assistant Nurse at the Savar Campus in July 2015. Ms. Naher completed her Diploma in Nursing from Nilphamari Nursing Institute.
Left from BRAC University
Md. Mahadhi Hasan, Lecturer, BRAC Institute of Languages (BIL) separated from his position in July 2015.
Ms. Sharmistha Das, Department Coordination Officer (DCO), Office of Co-curricular Activities (OCA) also separated from her position in July 2015.
Faculty on Study Leave
Mr. Nikhil Chandra Sarkar, Lecturer of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MNS), went on study leave in July 2015. Mr. Sarkar will be pursuing his IF49 Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. His area of study will be ‘Signalised Arterial Network Travel Time Estimation and Prediction ’.
Ms. Rumana Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), went on study leave in July 2015 for pursuing her Master of Engineering Master of Engineering Management - Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Technology, Australia.
