Ms. Dilara Afroz Khan Rupa has been appointed as Assistant Professor and Director of the Office of Co-curricular Activities (OCA) of BRAC University with effect from 01 February 2018.
Prior to joining BRAC University, Ms. Khan served as the Director, Confucius Institute at North South University, where she was also involved in teaching as a full time faculty member at the School of Business and Economics for about thirteen years and also acted as a Coordinator of Student Affairs Office for Extra Curricular Activities. She had worked as a guest lecturer at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka and at BRAC Business School of BRAC University. She is also a listed instructor since 2006 for the Center for Financial Training, USA, an institution to certify bankers in the area of Economics, Finance and Management. Her several engagements in different capacities encompass various organizations, including MARS Solutions LTD., Orion Edutech (India), NRB Jobs Ltd., NRB Baazar Ltd. etc.
She has spent a long tenure in IBM Corporation, New York, where she was involved in production, research and engineering. She was the Vice president of the IBM Credit Union, New York.
Ms. Khan is the Principal and Co-Founder of Udichi School of Performing Arts, New York Inc. She is also providing voluntary services in promoting ethics as CEO of Ethics Club Bangladesh. She is the CEO and Founder Member of Scholars Bangladesh, NRB Foundation, NRB Conference, Dhaka.
Ms. Dilara Afroz Khan Rupa graduated in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York. After that she did her MBA in Finance from the same university. She was a former student of Civil Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
