‘MUHURTO’, an OPEN HOUSE For Guardians of Freshmen Architecture Students was held on 18 November 2018, followed by a weeklong exhibition of the freshmen students’ works in the Exhibition Gallery of the Department of Architecture. The OPEN HOUSE was geared towards informing guardians in detail of the very nature of the study of architecture and the various opportunities of the architecture graduate students. The guardians had an open discussion session with Professor Zainab Faruqui Ali, Chairperson Department of Architecture, Professor Fuad H. Mallick, Dean School of Design, and studio instructors Shams Mansoor Ghani, Md. Samiur Rahman Bhuiyan and Emmat Ara Khanam. The exhibition continued for from 18 to 22 November 2018. Students exhibited various works on basic composition studio projects and sketches of their study tours of architectural sites undertaken in the current ARC 101: Design I Studio.
