Sabina Faiz Rashid, Professor, Mushtaque Chowdhury Chair in Health and Poverty at BRAC JPGSPH, has been appointed as a member of the Research Advisory Group (RAG) within the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom. Professor Rashid was selected after a competitive process from a pool of global public health experts who were considered for this role. She will commence her role from May 2024, for a term of 3 consecutive years.
As a RAG member, she will be responsible for providing strategic advice on FCDO’s research priorities and activities; and its relationship with the wider UK and international research and science base; and discuss and advise on broader global development and diplomacy issues.
