The students of the course ARC 412 Landscape Design visited Ramna Park with renowned Bangladeshi naturalist and plant enthusiast Prof. Dwijen Sharma and Architect Tughlaq Azad on Friday, 30 September 2016. The tour was conducted as part of an outdoor excursion for students to learn first-hand about the different species of trees that are found in Bangladesh. The outing was attended by more than 25 students and 3 faculties from the Department of Architecture, Sheikh Rubaiya Sultana, Saiqa Iqbal Meghna and Badruzzahan Ahmed. The tour began at 11 am, with Professor Sharma showing around the unique species of trees, some of which are exclusively found only in Ramna Park. The tour ended before lunch hour on a note of enthusiasm from the students, teachers and Professor Sharma alike.
