BRAC Business School, BRAC University organized a study tour to Sylhet for the students of “Brand Management” course on 2nd March, 2017. The two days of the tour were brilliantly led by one of the prominent faculty members, Ms. Rahma Akhter, along with Mr. Mostak Ahmed, Senior DCO of BRAC Business School. The excursion consisted of a total of 37 students who were accommodated in BRAC Learning Center (BLC), Sylhet.
Sylhet, profoundly known for its scenic beauty, has the most mesmerizing view during this season. Students were being taken to Jafflong, Khashia Polli and Lalakhal on the first day of this tour. The eye-gazing view of tea gardens in Khashia Polli and the amazing moments of boat riding at Lalakhal left some unforgettable memories for the students. On the second day students paid a visit to “SAFKO Spinning Mill”, a sister concern of Saiham Group Ltd. situated in Hobiganj. This experience helped the students attain a practical knowledge.
The sole purpose of organizing this tour was to create a linkage between bookish knowledge and real life experience and to enrich the students with the knowledge of destination branding, which will help them further in research work. Students were very happy to get such an opportunity. This visit provided an exposure towards a different and upcoming branch of branding, with the intention to motivate the students to be enthusiastic towards it.
