A group of undergraduate and post graduate students from biotechnology and microbiology programs of the MNS Department visited the National Forensic DNA Profiling Laboratory (NFDPL) with three faculty members namely, Ms. Abira Khan, Ms. Sadia Sayed and Ms. Trosporsha Tasnim Khan on 8 August, 2015. NFDPL was established in 2006 within the premises of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for the purpose of DNA finger printing in various cases involving criminal investigation. The students were given an informative briefing on the procedure of DNA finger printing. They were shown around the different sections of the laboratory and introduced with the various equipment used in finger printing analysis. The students were Sheikh Mehbish Jahan, Nusrat Afrin, Mehbubun Nayeema, Aqief Afzal ,Md. Mubassir Rahman, Afia Nowsheen, Nadia Binte Obaid, Tanvir Ahmed, Arifur Rahman, Farzana Rahman, Anzinur Nahar Samantha, Enamul Hasan, Ruhul Amin, Rubel Ahmed and Ashfaq Ahmed.
