Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, Associate Professor of BRAC Business School (BBS) and Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Supply Chain Management (IJSCM) – Scopus Indexed, joined the 6th International Conference on Asian Economic Development (AED 2017) on August 15-16, 2017 at Faculty of Economics of Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Dr. Habib delivered his talk on “Academic Supply Chain Management: A Novel Approach Contribution” in that conference as the Invited speaker. He illustrated the significance and implications of Supply Chain Management (SCM), as a new branch of Management, upon manufacturing and service industries through basic models as well as demonstrated ITESCM (Integrated Tertiary Educational Supply Chain Management) Model which was developed by Dr. Habib in 2009.
In addition, Dr. Habib inaugurated the conference with other distinguished guests. Lots of participants from various countries, particularly Australia, Singapore, Japan, USA, Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, etc. presented their papers.
It’s noted that Dr. Habib was invited by Dr. Pairut Kanjanakaroon, Dean of Faculty of Economics of Chiang Mai, Thailand. During the conference and talk, Dr. Habib discussed with distinguished renowned professors, including Professor Peter Warr (Australian National University), Prof. Dr. Mark Goh (NUS, Singapore), Dr. Pairach Piboonrungroj (Thailand), about 1st International Conference on Business and Management (ICBM 2017), organized by BRAC Business School (BBS) on September 21-22, 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
