Saw. Mu. Shamoel Haque, Research Assistant, Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University was selected to present his photography on Climate Change in the 5-day long photographic exhibition. Climate change is a very pressuring concern in Bangladesh. In fact, Bangladesh is found to be the sixth hardest country to be hit by this consequence. It is highly exposed due to its geological position, which is flat and low-lying. To make the world more intent Mati Bangladesh and Mymensingh Film and Photography society hosted a photo demonstration titled “Release the Shutter for Climate Change” with the main topic of climate change from 1-5 December 2017. Mitigation, adaptation, and residence were also being a subject of this event. Mostly local and National photographers presented their work on this occasion, but international photographers also joined in, too. The exhibition held in Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Sangrahashala located beside the river Brahmaputra at Mymensingh. Every evening there was a gathering about climate talks. A photographer contest also took place with a small winning prize on the last day of the exhibition.
