Teaching & Learning Centre and Office of Student Affairs have been offering Academic Success Workshop (ASW) series jointly for undergraduate students at BRAC University. The ASW is a semester-long programme, consisting of five workshop topics, designed to assist newly admitted students, students on probation and students belonging to different departments in general for developing successful study habits and skills, prepare for examinations, and enhance their academic performance. Academic Success Workshops series includes 5 segments that will proceed in sequence throughout the semester. The first segment of the series (ASW-1) was on ‘Course-Wise Study Planning & Preparation’ started on 23rd September continued till 13th October, 2014. Topics in ASW-1 included course planning strategies, devising weekly study plans, time management & self management. Multiple sessions of the same workshop were offered daily to accommodate all students and these continuous sessions were conducted at UB60203 by Mr. Imon Rahman, Mr. Raquib Quasem, Mr. Solaiman Jony, Ms. Fatema Israt Jahan, Ms. Tanjia Afrin Turin and Mr. Muhammad Foysal Mubarak, faculty members of OSA & TLC. A total number of 87 students participated in ASW 1.
During the same weekdays TLC also coordinated with Tutorial classes on Physics & Mathematics offered by MNS department which will run throughout the semester.
