The final project of Rafid Reasat Hai, Center for Human Rights titled “ 21st Century Cyrus Cylinder” has been selected as participants’ favorites in Archiprix. Archiprix is an international Competition of the best graduation projects of Architecture, Urban Design, and Landscape architecture around the world, held in every two year.
The project has three parts - space for human rights organizations, museum and institutional center. As for the institutional center it holds various workshops related to human rights victims who can share their experience and thoughts to people and media. An Archiprix book will be published in 2015 compiling all the projects along with his project.
It should be mentioned that another final year project was also selected as participants’ favorites in Archiprix 2011. ‘Global warming sea level rise 2100+’ was Shakil Ahmed Shimul’s Graduating thesis project, which was selected from the department of architecture BRAC University , to participate in Archiprix 2011 , Cambridge MIT. His project was the first of that kind from BRACU and one of three projects from Bangladesh. The project was an architectural exercise visioning and designing the future Dhaka city considering a 10 meter sea level rise. A book has published in 2013 compiling all the projects along with the project.
