In line with the spirit of Amar Ekushey, Bangladesh Studies program observed Shaheed Day and International Mother Language Day at Residential Campus, Savar. Students, teachers and staff of BRACU, holding a lighted candle, took part in Probhat Ferry (Morning Procession) at 12.01 am and placed floral wreaths at the Shaheed Minar on February 21, 2007. The students of Architecture have recently built the Minar on the campus. A cultural Programme was also organized in the evening to mark the Day. Students rendered songs and recited poems on Ekushey.
