“Frugal Innovation Forum 2017” was held at BRAC CDM, Savar, Dhaka in order to encourage leaders and practitioners to connect and explore ways for scaling quality education. Md. Saiful Islam, Lecturer of CSE Department of BRAC University participated in the forum for contributing in this noble cause. In this event, strategic partners of BRAC were Australian Aid and UKaid. Besides, Prothom Alo was associate partner and GLOBAL SCHOOLS FORUM was knowledge partner. The three days of the event were pre planned wisely in order to establish strong connection among the leader and come up with effective and realistic strategies for mobilizing progress in this sector.
During these three days session, everyone focused on finding answers of three important questions regarding replicable innovative approaches for ensuring quality learning along with defining and designing and co-creating quality, low cost public private collaboration and ensuring the curriculums that addresses 21st century skills. One of the major highlights of the event was the panelists who were highly qualified in their sectors and working very hard for making the world a better place than it is now. In addition, these sessions focused on the impact of technology in education and how technology can be used for scaling up the quality education in the global south. The facilitator of the participation of Md. Saiful Islam was Dr. Amitabha Chakrabarty who is an Assistant Professor of CSE department of BRAC University.
