Three faculty members and one MA student of the Department of English and Humanities (ENH) of Brac University have recently shared parts of papers they submitted at an international conference.
“Performing the Nation: Memory and Desire in Contemporary Literature” was held at Berhampur University, Odisha, India on 8-9 Feb 2019.
The sharing session was organised in the department’s seminar room on Wednesday, 6 March 2019.
Roohi Andalib Huda’s paper was titled “Apocalyptic Discovery of Cultural and National Identity in the Colonized Protagonists of Amitav Ghosh Novels: Evidence from The Glass Palace and Ibis Trilogy” while Anika Saba’s “Cyborg Identities in Peripheral Borderlands”.
Meanwhile, Seema Nusrat Amin’s paper bore the title “Radical alterity as an alternative to the marginalization of the hybrid text in South Asia” while SM Mahfuzur Rahman’s “Subverting Territoriality Translation as a Double Edged Sword”.
