The Centre of Excellence for Universal Health Coverage (CoE-UHC), in collaboration with Continuing Education Programme, conducted the 4th “Introductory Course on Universal Health Coverage” from 16-20 August 2015 at JPGSPH. The course provided participants with an understanding of the basic concepts of universal health care, its evolution from primary health care, its components, core requirements and challenges, with an emphasis on low and middle income countries. A total of 25 participants from various academic and professional backgrounds attended the course. On the final day, five different groups presented their understanding on five different courtiers in different stages of universal health care, and providing their opinion on potential strategies which could be adapted in Bangladesh.
